DBRA certification is official documentation from a qualified nonprofit verifying that you are a survivor of human trafficking. This certification is required to submit a Debt Bondage Repair Act request to credit bureaus, allowing you to remove trafficking-related debts from your credit report.

We conduct a confidential, trauma-informed intake process. You share your story in a safe, judgment-free environment. Our team listens, validates your experience, and documents your survivor status according to federal DBRA guidelines. All information is kept strictly confidential.

Absolutely. Jamaia's House maintains strict confidentiality protocols. Your information is never shared without your explicit consent. We use trauma-informed practices to ensure you feel safe and respected throughout the entire certification process.

With your certification in hand, you can submit a DBRA request to all three credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, TransUnion). The credit bureaus have 4 business days to block the debt and 25 business days to make a final determination. Jamaia's House and our partner WBC Consulting Group can help guide you through this process.

Jamaia's House does not charge for certification. However, if you work with WBC Consulting Group to submit your DBRA request to credit bureaus, their service fee is $599.99 and includes eligibility assessment, document preparation, submission to all three bureaus, follow-up, and appeals if needed.

Beyond DBRA certification, Jamaia's House provides emergency housing and shelter, trauma-informed counseling, legal advocacy and support, job training and employment assistance, and financial empowerment resources. We're committed to supporting your complete healing and recovery journey.
